Full-time, benefit eligible position providing a variety of advocacy, educational, and support services for low-income and other vulnerable seniors in Washtenaw County. In addition to providing general resource assistance and community advocacy to seniors, the Resource Advocate – Caregiver Services position is primarily focused on respite care volunteer recruitment, training, management and general program coordination of the Volunteer Caregiver and Grandparents as Parents programs.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, nursing, public health, or related human services field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be professional and have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Requires at least one-year direct client service experience, preferably with older adults, as well as knowledge of and experience with nonprofit human services agencies and resources throughout Washtenaw County.
Competitive pay anticipated to start at approximately $35,000; will be dependent upon relevant experience. Total compensation includes benefit and retirement plans with employer contribution, plus paid time off and a generous paid holiday schedule which includes Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.
